Arsenal's Unbeaten Run Ends with Shock Liverpool Defeat

Miedema Breaks Goal Drought, Arsenal Set Record

Impressive Victory in Eidevall's 100th Game

Vivianne Miedema scored her first Women's Super League goal since September as Arsenal extended their unbeaten run to 14 games in all competitions. However, the Gunners fell to a shock 2-1 defeat to Liverpool, ending their perfect start to the season.

Arsenal controlled possession and created numerous chances throughout the match. Miedema gave them the lead in the 30th minute, finishing off a cross from Katie McCabe. The goal marked Miedema's first in the WSL since the opening day of the season.

Liverpool equalized just before halftime through Shanice van de Sanden. The Dutch forward capitalized on a defensive error to slot home from close range. Arsenal continued to push for a winner in the second half, but Liverpool held firm.

Against the run of play, Liverpool took the lead in the 85th minute through Mel Lawley. The Reds defender headed home a corner from Katie Stengel to secure a famous victory for her team.

Despite the defeat, Arsenal remain top of the WSL table. However, Chelsea, who defeated Manchester City 2-0, are now just two points behind with a game in hand.

Arsenal's Jonas Eidevall was pleased with his team's performance despite the result. "We played well today and created a lot of chances," he said. "We were unlucky to lose, but we will learn from our mistakes and come back stronger."
