Dundee Vs Rangers Flares

Rangers Thrash Dundee 5-0 in Rescheduled Premiership Fixture

Match Delayed Due to Road Closures

Original Fixture Halted After Flare Incident

Glasgow Rangers secured a resounding 5-0 victory over Dundee in a rescheduled Scottish Premiership match at Dens Park on Wednesday, November 1, 2023. The original fixture had been postponed due to heavy traffic congestion that prevented Rangers fans from reaching the stadium in Dundee.

The rearranged match was played in front of a sell-out crowd and Rangers dominated proceedings from the start. Fashion Sakala opened the scoring in the 15th minute, followed by goals from Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, and James Tavernier in the second half.

The match was marred by an incident in the away end at Dens Park, where flares were set off during the first half. The Scottish Professional Football League (SPFL) condemned the use of pyrotechnics and launched an investigation into the incident.

Despite the delay and the flare incident, the rescheduled match provided a welcome three points for Rangers, who are now level on points with league leaders Celtic. Dundee remain in ninth place in the standings.
